Rowantree Farms
Rowantree Farms is located in Wanup, just 25km south of Sudbury. We have 5 acres in pasture and gardens surrounded by 150 acres of forest, rock and a small lake.
We produce “lucky duck eggs” and “quirky quail eggs” for retail and
restaurant sales. We grow a wide variety of vegetables for both direct and retail sales, as well as pastured chickens and turkeys during the summer.
All our produce is grown without pesticides, chemical fertilizers and GMOs. All our livestock are fed a certified organic grain ration and forage on pasture in the summer months.
Rowantree Farms is included in this season’s farm tour series. As well as leading us on a tour of her operation, your farmer host Allison Muckle will give a talk on pasturing poultry and ducks.
