Manorun Organic Farm
4 Internships Available for 2012
Located outside of Hamilton, ManoRun Organic Farm is a family farm that grows vegetables for 150 CSA members as well as sales to restaurants and farmers markets. Farm fertility includes annual fall compost application. Most of the work is done by hand with minimum tractor use. Our human energy approach to agriculture means lots of time with plants and animals. The farm manages a number fields for vegetable production, animal pastures and growing grains. Everything that we sell is from the farm – including the wheat for our wood fired clay oven bread. Interns can choose an area of focus beyond growing vegetables. The farm has developed intern opportunities that include – urban agriculture, bread baking, restaurant and food preparation, growing and using herbs, livestock handling/care and membership organization. Contact the farm to find out more about how your internship could have an additional focus.
